Our beautiful daughter Lucy/Lulu was sadly taken from us on the 5th December 2008. Lucy battled so long to stay with us but her body was so tired she had to give in. Her Dad and I, also her sister Trish want everyone to know how brave Lucy was and how proud we are of her. During all her years of illness Lucy had 21 operations,12 of those in 14 months all at the Wessex Neurological Unit in Southampton. Lucy also went through 6 weeks of Radiotherapy which failed at St.Mary's Portsmouth and 2 Chemotherapy treatments at the Royal Marsden Surrey. During all this time Lucy never complained she took it all in her stride. During this last year Lucy was ill a few times finally going into the Rowans. Here they made her last days so special,all the Nurses included Lucy in their lives. Also we csn't thank the Doctors,Office Staff,Housekeeping,Volunteers and the caretaker for making life so much easier for not only Lucy but us as a family. We made a lot of good friends in all the staff, they have all become our second family. We can't express how grateful we are to every single one of them. Lucy loved you all.
